Crete has no ski resorts or lifts, but those who want to do alpine skiing have vast areas of reliable spring snow and no crowds.
Skiing in Crete may be little known, but it has been on the rise lately.
Seeing the island in the summer with sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, secluded bays and its bare peaks, you cannot imagine that in winter the snow has covered all the mountains.
